At Franklin Christian Church our belief that Jesus is Lord is the cornerstone of our church family. It shapes the kind of community we strive to be and the way we interact with our neighbors both locally and around the world.
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, bodily ascension into heaven, and His personal return once again in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful, transformation by the Holy Spirit is essential. That salvation cannot be earned, but only through God’s grace and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is it received through obedient faith.
We believe that repentant believers in Christ should be baptized in water, by immersion (the Biblical form of baptism), in obedience to Christ.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved shall spend eternity in heaven and the lost shall spend eternity in hell.
We believe that, because all believers are spiritually united in the Lord Jesus Christ, we should cooperate in all possible ways in God’s work with our fellow believers, both those among us and elsewhere, loving and being patient with one another in our differences.
Franklin Christian Church exists so that all people will know and follow Jesus by knowing God’s Word, experiencing the Spirit’s transformation, and advancing Jesus’ mission.
