Fall Food Pantry

Food Pantry (Slide)November 1

8:00-10:00 am

FCC will host a food pantry on Nov. 1st to help people in our community that are in need. We love what the Yard Give means to the community and we would like to be able to reach out in another way to help.

We will set up a one-day temporary food pantry in the student center.  We will pass out flyers in the community for those in need.

Here is what we need from you:

  • Food that you have purchased that we are able to give.   Click here for a suggested list of items needed.  We will provide a shopping bag with the list attached and those are located in the lobby on a table.
  • $25 Gift cards to Wal-Mart, Kroger, or Publix
  • Volunteers to help organize and sort the week before the event.
  • Volunteers to help set up the pantry on Oct. 30-31.
  • Volunteers to help the morning of the event.
  • Volunteers to help pass out flyers prior to the event.

We will accept donations until October 26th.  You may drop them off at the Food Pantry table in the lobby.

If you would like more info, contact Tammy Underhill.

The Wells seeks to meet food assistance needs for the residents of Spring Hill, Thompsons Station and College Grove.  At this time we do this through two programs – our pantry, which provides groceries to families who seek our help, and a backpack program, JetPacks, which provides weekend food for school children in Spring Hill public schools.  We also have a professional counselor who provides counseling services for clients with fees based on a sliding scale.
